Lexington Showcases the Air Support Department at UMEX.
- Lexington Group’s Director of Unmanned Programs, Alexander Sell discusses the MOI’s future medium-size Unmanned Aircraft System program with delegates of the South Korean military.
The UAE Ministry of Interior Air Support Department was publicly displayed for the first time at UMEX 2016, Abu Dhabi where Lexington Group’s Alexander Sell and Sean Mckenzie supported the Ministry of Interior at their exhibition stand at the inaugural event. On display were the front running UAS platforms under consideration for a permanent acquisition by the MOI.
During the exhibit ASD’s Senior Leadership Team and Lexington briefed the MOI’s UAS program to numerous international private and public sector organizations. Sean McKenzie, a Senior UAS Consultant with Lexington Group remarked, “ the MOI’s stand received lots of interest from international defense and public safety organizations that are also looking to establish new unmanned aircraft organizations; they look to the UAE as an ideal benchmarking partner with their future strategic plans.”
Sean is a former Royal Marines Commando, Intelligence Officer, and a Predator UAS Sensor Operator with over 20 years of aviation experience. Sean is a renowned expert in Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance systems and recently assisted the British Army with the fielding and integration of its Watchkeeper UAS Program.
