On 11 December 2017, Lexington Group recognizes thirty-seven officers from the UAE’s Ministry of Interior for successful completing its Comprehensive Executive Leadership Course (CELC). Lexington’s CELC is a contemporary nine (9) week leadership program that teaches mid-career officers and professionals how to think about and impart leadership that creates value.
Lexington’s CELC program uses a diverse set of ‘best in class’ pedagogical approaches that include theory based lectures, case studies from leading academic leadership institutions like West Point, Harvard, and INSEAD, group work, modeling, and experiential learning that focuses on improving each participant’s strategic thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. Graduates of the CELC program are better able to deliver quick wins, manage change, and achieve high performance outcomes at the individual, team, and organizational levels within their respective directorates at the Ministry of Interior.
Lexington’s Director of Executive Leadership Education, Dr. Mark English, leads the Comprehensive Executive Leadership Program and has over 35 years of experience in leadership education and instruction. Dr. English is the former President of the American University of Afghanistan, Superintendent of the American International School of Jeddah, Dean of the United States Military Academy Preparatory School, and the former Department Head and Associate Professor of Arabic & Middle Studies at West Point. Dr. English, a retired US Army Colonel, is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas, Austin.
Lexington’s Senior Vice President, Jarat Ford, a West Point and INSEAD graduate, remarked, “It’s truly a pleasure to have someone of Dr. English’s caliber lead our Comprehensive Executive Leadership Course; Mark brings decades of leadership experience into the classroom and is able to inspire each of his students to treat leadership development as a profession requiring a life long commitment to excellence.”
